Pathway to Forgiveness and Hope

A Story of Redemption and Forgiveness

Ibrahim 3xm_International

I have been deeply moved by the stories you have shared about the lack of motherly love and the impact it has had on your life. These stories compelled me to reflect on my own background and share my journey with you.

My mother was a widow who remarried my father. When I was born, my father did not accept me because I was a boy. According to our tradition, if you inherit the wife of your deceased brother and your first child is a boy, it means you will die.

"Fearful of this, my parents rejected me."

I was raised by my maternal grandmother. As I grew older, I learned that my parents abandoned me because of their fear that my birth would bring my father's death. This revelation filled me with hatred towards my parents. My behavior changed drastically—I started drinking alcohol excessively and engaging in promiscuous relationships. It was during this time that I contracted HIV.

I was almost at the final stage of the disease when a friend, who had seen your film on television, reached out to you on my behalf. Despite my initial reluctance to go to the hospital, the persistent encouragement from you, my friend, and my grandmother led me to seek medical help.

Today, I am alive and can smile again. You have welcomed me multiple times, offering guidance and support. You reminded me that God has a perfect plan for me. Through your advice, I found the strength to forgive my parents. You assured me that Jesus wants to walk with me through this life, and I decided to give my life to Jesus Christ, accepting His love and grace.

I am grateful to Him for delivering me from the chains of excessive drinking and sexual immorality. Now, I know that when my time comes, I will be with Jesus in eternity.

Please pray for my complete healing, and thank you so much for being a beacon of hope and love in my life. Your support has transformed my journey from one of despair to one filled with hope and redemption.

Blessings!

Ibrahim
