“What you want is impossible”

I have heard this phrase numerous times throughout the past 28 years of ministry with 3xM (More Message in the Media). Topic was my desire to unite the leaders of the churches in a Christian television project.

My desire stems from the prayer of Jesus in John 17:21. “that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”

When we start our talks with the church leaders in a country we usually see that they are not working together. Some do not know one another, sometimes issues arose and they hold a grudge, differences are accentuated etc. etc. However, a Christian television project on a national scale needs a united approach to be successful.

Unity does not stand on its own, it has as its purpose to have the world believe. 3xM exists for nearly 40 years. We have seen the influence of unity. In Estonia the CEO of the national public television said that we would get free air time if we were able to unite the leaders of the churches. In Belgium we have played a role in uniting the churches and they received broadcasting time on the national public television in 1996 and have been broadcasting since then.

Together with our partners in multiple countries we have gone through a constant process of refinement of the programs. We depended on one another. Through its eloquence these programs are aired on prime time on national TV channels in multiple hard to reach countries.

There is no reason to believe that the Lord will not open the door of e.g. NHK (national public television channel in Japan) if we stand united. United as Christians in Japan and the rest of the world. From 3xM we gladly offer our experience to find a way to reach the Japanese soul, but we cannot and do not want to do this without our brothers and sisters from Japan!
