Pakistan is in dire need of aid. The recent monsoon flood has devastated the people of this beautiful nation. A third of the country is underwater, and more than 1,100 people have died (with the final number expected to be much higher). With more than 33 million people affected, upwards of 100,000 displaced, and the looming threat of death by diseases, global intervention is needed.
Over the past 16 years, we have been working with our local partner to spread the Gospel throughout several districts in Pakistan. Although the monsoon has not affected these areas, it has severely impacted regions of the country where our partner is implementing other social initiatives to empower the Pakistani people. These initiatives include a literacy program for children and youth to give them a chance at a better future.
Our partner remains steadfast in their commitment to uplifting the Pakistani people, and as their partner and fellow servants of God, we feel compelled to help them (re)build their nation. This is why we are taking action!
First, we want to do what we do best: use modern media to give people a message of hope. Therefore, we are producing a series of short videos about psychosocial needs, health, and hygiene. These will be produced in Urdu and translated into the local languages of Sindhi, Pashto, and Balochi and broadcast throughout Pakistan.
Our partner will also be coordinating the packaging and distribution of ‘First Aid Boxes’ containing hygiene products and other critical items to their project teachers, students, and families.
We invite you to join us and give the Pakistanis hope! To make the videos and provide ‘First Aid boxes’, a total of € 10,952.38 is needed. We believe that together with you we can realize this amount. Would you like to help? Then please make your financial contribution by using the ‘donate’ tab and the reference “Pakistan Flood” in your description.
